![]() ![]() I am 37 and I grew up playing games when consoles were mostly not internet connected and when Call Of Duty did not exist. Eventually you have seen Many titles in a series and the time a game is current seems less and less and you start to get perspective and understand that games have a shelf life and eventually get superseded with a newer game. ![]() The older you get the less significant portion of your life that 2 tears becomes and so that 2 years seems less and less time as you get older. When an IP has a release cycles of say every 2 years - the younger you are the more significant part of your life 2 years is and so as such this time-frame seems very significant the younger you are. That in combination with the limited time younger folk have had in existence may make it feel like a game is released and supported for ever. I get it that for younger folk who have grown up in an internet dominated world where games get updated, bug fixed and new content added post release - that it feels like games could supported forever as updates can always been downloaded. ![]() Time goes on and what is becomes what was and the future becomes the present. Just because you are wallowing in a specific point in time in a certain game doesn't mean the rest of the universe will sit still for you. Nothing lasts forever / Time stands still for no-one. ![]()
